Tesco’s Planning Application
Below are the documents sumitted by Tesco to the planners in support of their application for the 27,000 sq ft store in Machynlleth on the old Farmers’ Mart / Travis Perkins land.
The Planning Department will evaluate Tesco’s application ONLY with reference to whether it meets the requirements of The Powys Unitary Development Plan / Adnau Cynllun Datblygu Unedol Powys … the first link on the page.
They are PDFs, some quite large.
- Planning application
- Design and access statement
- Transport assessment
- Retail assessment
- Machynlleth shopping survey
- Landscape impact statement
- Heritage impact statement
- Environmental assessment summary
- Environmental sustainability statement
- Environmental assessment statement 2
- Draft capacity assessment
- Miscellaneous supporting docs
The originals and maps too large to copy are at Caonolfan Hyddgen, the lifelong learning centre next to Ysgol Bro Ddyfi.
For how to respond click on the ‘How to object to Tescos’ link on the right.
[We have to post these docs here because Powys Council is one of the few planning authorities that doesn't do this themselves - disgraceful.]
